Right now, you are in the middle of the living room with your hands out in front of you like a conjurer.
When I hear the girl’s scream pierce the cracked plaster between the new guy’s apartment and mine, I do nothing.

NON-FICTION

Something discordant, soft then growing louder but unnerving.
The biopsy revealed the start of tooth and bone material, keratin and hair, the beginning and ending of what would have been my twin at conception.
